LONDON – This building, commonly referred to as the Shard, merges panes of glass on each side to form a statuesque modern building in a very old city.

Modern and old, an interesting merge.
I still can’t make up my mind about this. I’ll have to go and have another look to help me make up my mind.
I feel the same. I’m not sure if I like the Shard or not. It does feel out of place in London. Sometimes it just has this arrogant feel to it because it won’t fit in. There’s no sense of conformity. Good? Bad? I’m not sure yet…

I like the sky as well as the building.
I like the fact that it all seems a bit moody.
I think the cranes will have to stay there permanently – a counterpoise to the Shard.
A merge but also a contrast!
