The beauty spot
LONDON - I don’t go to spas or salons very much but on the spur of the moment I decided to go to Ted’s Beauty Spot on Cheapside this afternoon. I didn’t have an appointment and was happy that they took walk ins. The small salon is actually inside a Ted Baker clothing shop. It’s small and has a limited number of treatments such as manicures, pedicures, eyelash extensions and threading. Prices are not too bad for London. I got a shellac pedicure (my first ever) for £35. But what I really enjoyed was the design and décor of the salon. It was quite different and used colours not typical for a salon i.e. no pink. Refreshing. Not that I don’t like pink. Just it’s nice to have something different.
I love the wallpaper and subway tiles. And the fabrics on the seats are really cool too.

One thing you don’t see in these photos is the eye catching ceiling. When you look up, you see about 20 pigeons, dead and stuffed, with wings extended, hanging from the ceiling. I know it sounds a bit weird, but it was really quite beautiful and I don’t even like pigeons.

Love the William Morris fabric on the seats. Very classy!
