The Shard – the best view of London
LONDON - If you want the best view of London, you’ve got to go to the Shard. I recently went with friends and we all agreed that it was very impressive. At 310 meters, the Shard is the highest building in Western Europe and it gives you a 360 degree view of one of the best cities in the world…London.
The most amazing thing was ascending to the viewing deck. The lift moves at 6 metres per second. In no time we were at level 72. As soon as you walk out onto the deck, it feels like you are stepping into heaven as the soft, gentle calming music fills the air and the hustle and bustle of the city fades away. Makes you want to say ‘namaste’.
Since I came to London I’ve been wanting to go to the London Eye, another tourist attraction that gives you a view of the City. But honestly, you won’t find a better view in London than the one at the Shard. It’s breathtaking. Tickets are £25. But so worth it.
